"Remembering Mama"

Mama, I sit here and think back when you were here with us

All the time we spent together, Playing cards which you loved

The times you would call and say come over

You just needed some company, which you loved

You enjoyed your family and you enjoyed your life

You had so many friends that loved you

You were a very rich woman

Mama, I miss being with you and doing the things we use to do

I wish you could have been here now to see

All your grand children and great grand children

They would have loved you so much

When the family gets together now I can’t help but think of

All of us around the table talking and having so many laughs

I remember the times when I was a child

I would fix your hair and makeup

Before you went to work, You always looked so pretty

When you left and went to heaven you took our hearts

Your family misses you so much, Till we meet again Mama

Just remember we all love you forever and a day
