"God Bless The Poor Child"

What has gone wrong with this world today

The danger, the violence are the games they play

What happen to the simple fun day of a child?

Where did the fun go?  They don't even know.

The innocence in their faces

They do not know what they miss.

They have no childhood like you and I

All they have is this world of today.

No ones home,  the parents are at work

Who should they talk to?  no one knows

They go to school and that's a big job

 But, then come home just to be alone

The poor child has no childhood

Where did it go?

What happen to the world, that we once knew?

The one that was our childhood from long ago

God Bless The Poor Child

Who lives today for they missed the childhood of yesterday

Oh God, can you hear my little voice
We need your help,
The world has gone mad,The children are scared
No one is listening to your words and are disbelieving
We all need you close and want your blessing
Help this world get together once again
Oh Dear God,
Listen to the words of the children of the world
They want you and need you
We all know you are up above
  I feel your love in my soul
Hold us in your arms and keep us safe
From this world of today

 Dear God, I hate to be a bother but I gotta say
This world is getting crazier with everyday
I hope you'll hear me out now as I stop and pray

Dear God, people take your words and try to twist 'em round
I know you can't be happy with what's going down
I'm searching for some answers but they can't be found
Can you help me out, Dear God... oh

Dear God, just the other night I heard somebody say
What's the use believing in you anyway?
I guess it was just heartache talking through the pain
Its a crying shame

Dear God, I know your disappointed in the things we've done
But can't they see the truth that their all running from
Trying to preach your message with a loaded gun
What they thinking of, Dear God... oh

Everybody's searching for an easy solution, yeah
They can't see beyond the selfish world their living in
Words of love get lost in all the confusion, yes they do
But I still believe, someday your gonna speak to me..

Dear God, I know you've got a million other calls to take
Your dealing with a lot of things that just won't wait
But their is one request that I just gotta make oh

Dear God, won't you send a sign down just to ease my doubt
I'm trying to hear you but the silence is so loud
I think I see a rainbow from behind the clouds ...
...and I hear you now
