Don’t We All?

When we are young children we don’t think of tomorrow

We just thought of that moment in time, the moment of that day

Years go by and we sit here and think

Of all the things we just let go by us

Things that we can’t change now

But only look back at and say Only If

So many special people

We meet along the path of life and take for granted

Thinking that they will always be here for us.

Little did we know that things never stay the same.

Times changes , People come and go

Love ones die and we just think if only I did that or did this

What I would give to see those special people again

Mom, Dad, Grandmas and Grandpas, the Uncles and Aunts

The Cousins, the great Friends that passed on.

Most of all my life partner, my husband.

All the memories are what we have now

Just thinking about the fun we had

The laughs we had 

When we all would get together

Awe it was great times. Great fun.

All those days, and years that passed

Now we are here and think what would we like to change.

Time don’t stop for anyone

So take today and make it special.
