Each year comes and goes, Just like the year before.
Another year doesn't make me feel less love for you
Darling, my heart aches for you still
A new year has come,
But the love I have inside is as old as time
This love I feel is yours and mine
I sit here and smile
Yet tears fall down from my eyes
Knowing the pain and the loneliness inside
You can only imagine what it would feel like
You can't explain to anyone and expect them to understand
What has happened inside my heart
I'm in my own little world at times
I write and talk, that makes me get to the next new year
My words and my music is all I have to keep me sane
To keep me here
The lost of anyone that you love and shared a life with
Is very hard because you are so use to them being your right hand
Perfect for each other or not...
You became one in all the years as you loved each other
You learned what life is all about, what is more important
The little things in life are and were for you and I
I only wish I could protect others for what I feel
But, this is life and this is my journey
